Studio Access & Service Options @ TNP
A range of services are available at our Hornsby Studio from Studio Access Sessions to Firing Services
Studio Access & Service Options
Not enrolled in a course but still keen to get involved? Whether you’re an experienced potter wanting studio time, or you just need somewhere to fire your work, we’ve got you covered. Our Studio Access and Service Options are here to help you stay creative and connected with the studio, even when you’re doing your own thing.
Pottery Freestyler Sessions – Studio Access
If you already know your way around clay and just want the space to get stuck into making, our Pottery Freestyler sessions are perfect for you. Think of it as your own creative time in the studio, with full use of our wheels, tools and workspace – no formal teaching, just room to focus on your ideas and enjoy making at your own pace. Whether you’re throwing, handbuilding or working on finishing touches, these sessions give you the freedom to create in a welcoming, supportive environment.
You can find all the details, including how it works and what to bring, over on our Pottery Freestyler Sessions page.
Firing Service
Need your pieces fired but don’t have access to a kiln? We can help with that. Our firing service is open to local makers who just need their work safely bisqued or glaze fired. Firings run in line with our studio schedule, so flexibility is key, but we’ll always take good care of your work.
Bisque firing is $15 per kilo (minimum 500g) and mid-range glaze firing is $20 per kilo (minimum 500g).
It’s also a lovely way to stay connected with the studio and the local ceramics community, even if you’re not taking a course right now. Pop in, drop off your pieces, and feel part of the creative buzz that runs through The Pottery.
